I made it back on Sunday afternoon from my little adventure known as Quilt Market. I had such a delightful time that I was sad to see it come to an end. One of the best parts was meeting a bunch of wonderful people. So here is the mini recap: (sorry for the not-very-good photos, I only had time to take them in the evening)
Wednesday:
Drove down to Salt Lake and managed to squeeze in a little bit of fun shopping. My number one find of that day was this Anna Maria Pattern:
We settled into our hotel room after making a quick dash to Whole Foods (and now a little love note: Dear Whole Foods, How I miss all your wonderful goodies like sonoma chicken salad and scrumptious tortellini pasta!) Whole foods makes me miss San Francisco even more...
Thursday:
Up fairly early (hit the gym) and then we head off to the first day of quilt market. I attended many sessions of schoolhouses and stepped out of my shyness to meet some of my favorite bloggers. (yeah, i am way to shy and a little on the geeky side but everyone was so nice!) Then came everyone's favorite thing: Sample Spree. I found it pretty fun, even with all the crazy pushing and shoving. These were my big purchases:
The patterns are from Modkid and Hot Scott Patterns, the fabric is Little Apples by Aneela Hoey from Moda.
The day was capped off with a trip to walmart and some Wendy's french fries.
part 2 coming later this week...
you found some great patterns! I am looking forward to a sewing date.
