2012 Goals...

•Do more yoga
Main goal- get into a regular routine with yoga & conquer a few advanced poses.
How- try at least 3 different types of yoga, take at least 2-4 classes from an instructor, and practice at least 3 times a week.

•Eat less processed food
Main goal- eat more real food less fake, attempting a 90/10 ratio ideally, but to eat as much good for you as possible.
How- cooking and prepping more at home (even baking bread, planning lunches in advance), growing lots of yummy things in our garden, trying new recipes and expanding my cooking horizons, eating less meat.

•Support independent and/or local businesses
Main goal- support mom & pop, budding start-ups, crafty people, and local or independent shops (including lots of handmade) instead of big box.
How- being more cautious and thoughtful on where I spend my $$$$, shop more on etsy or big cartel, attend community events and eat at local restaurants.

•Throw a party
Main goal- a just because party with no real reason except to celebrate the people I love in my life.
How- cook a bunch of wonderful dishes, use lots of great entertaining things that my grandmother gave me, pick a month in which not a ton of other activities are happening.

•Make kzjostudio a real business
Main goal: turn kzjostudio into a triving illustration business along with a few products like stationary, mugs, business cards, blog things, etc.
How- blog more, tweet more, work on getting things into my big cartel shop, spend time focusing on the business, doing more photo shoots, etc.

•Become an "official" runner
Main goal: Be able to run at least 3 miles without stopping to really walk
How- run at least 3 times a week, find a running buddy to go with, sign up for another 5k, and practice

•Make more!
Main goal: use up my fabric stash and make more stuff. Sew, scrapbook, paint, make jewelry, use up yarn.
How-make projects that I know I have stuff in my stash for, try to make 1 or 2 things a week, focus on output not input, only buy things like notions, batting or interfacing if needed. Hopefully, this will keep my creative side flourishing this year!

Go on a weekend/weeklong adventure
Main Goal: get out of the the normal routine and visit somewhere new while there explore the local shops and coffee houses.
How- I am in the midst of planning a getaway tentatively in the early spring (like March or April) which is completely exciting! Attended a Dierks Bentley concert in Nevada at the end of March. It was amazing and a great time overall! I am so happy that everything turned out from the hotel, weather, fun times, and lovely concert! It is definitely going to one of my favorite memories for this year.

•Clean out and organize my entire studio
Main goal- go through everything (bins, drawers, desks, fabric, etc) and start through every nook and cranny.
How- start in one area and work my way across the studio, leaving the closet for last, also redo the layout and work flow of the studio in order to make it more effective. A little studio redo in the way of painting may also be in order.

•Family Photo Shoot
Main goal- get an amazing set of photos with xavier and with my parents.
How- include outfit changes, photos of all of us, x & i, x & my parents, me & my parents, and some solos. Maybe include two or three location changes

Increase my knitting skills
Main goal- make a few projects that are harder! Like a hat, sweater or socks, etc.
How- use circular needles to make a cowl neck scarf and hats, leg warmers, lace pattern, baby booties using double needles, and a slouchy hat. I really feel like I made a lot of progress on this one. I also think that this will be something that I will pick back up once the weather gets a little cooler. So for now it is getting crossed off since I really made a ton of things and learned several new skills! It was super fun and I am sure I will continue being a "knitter" :)

and last but not least:
•Start dating
Main goal- get back into the dating scene
How- actually be proactive about meeting people, as well as letting people "introduce" me potential dates, and mainly just be open to the idea.
